Publishing policy
What the Articles are for, where their facts come from, and how to tell us when one is wrong.
What the Articles cover
The Articles are practical reading for anyone who runs a loyalty program or is thinking of starting one: why a program is worth having, how to design it, how to launch it, how to bring members back, and how to tell whether it is working. Some cover what changes for one kind of business. A few cover the other cards an organisation can issue, and the rules that apply in Malaysia. They are written for owners and managers, not for specialists.
Sources and figures
A figure in an Article comes from a source we have read: a published study, a regulator, a company’s own published terms, or the documentation of the platform concerned. The sources are listed at the end of the Article.
We say where and when a finding was measured, because a result from one market, one chain or one year does not promise the same result in your business. Where a widely repeated figure cannot be traced to a source, we say so and do not repeat it as fact.
Examples
Programs run by other businesses are described from their own published terms on the date we read them. Terms change, so check the current ones before you rely on them. Naming a business does not mean it is a native.cards customer or partner, or that it endorses us.
A worked example with made-up numbers is labelled as an example. It is not a result from a native.cards customer.
What we say about native.cards
When an Article says native.cards does something, it describes the product as it is, with its limits. Where something depends on Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, your POS or another service, the Article says so. A possible use is not described as a feature.
The law
Articles about rules such as personal data and prepaid value explain the law in plain words, for general understanding. They are not legal advice. Ask a lawyer about your own situation.
Dates and changes
Each Article shows the date it was published. If an Article is changed after publication in a way that matters to a reader, it also shows the date it was updated.
Corrections
If you spot an error, email support@native.cards with the link to the Article, the passage concerned and a source if you have one.
